Description of District
Fulton County Schools is located in far West Kentucky
bordered on the south by Tennessee and the west by the Mississippi
River. The county is rural in nature with the county seat at Hickman.
The district has only one elementary school (Pre K through 6) and
one secondary school (7-12). The total enrollment is less than 900
students. The district has been recognized nationally for its leadership
in distance learning (compressed video) and interagency collaboration.
(Health Social Services, etc).
Description of Project
This project will expand on two existing initiatives
developed by the district by providing direct nursing services to
the preschool infant & toddler population and further expanding
educational "wellness" and "prevention" programs to the adult and
student population served by the district.
