The Cisco 700 series ISDN router provides affordable, fast Internet access for every PC in a small office or home-based business of up to five users.
Small offices that want to provide Internet access with ISDN for every PC can use a single Cisco 700, instead of multiple modems or TAs and multiple phone lines. Routers are more secure, easier to deploy, less expensive to manage, and cost less to use than modems.
Key Features:
- IP and IPX routing for up to 1500 PCs (recommended for up to 5)
- Some modules include a 4-port hub and 2 POTS ports for all-in-one device supporting fax, phone, and PCs
- Security features include PAT/NAT, PAP, CHAP, caller ID callback, and access lists, for more security than a modem or TA
- Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) relay agent and server for dynamic addressing of attached workstations
- Two B-channels for phone or data and automatic B-channel aggregation with Multilink PPP
- Always-on ISDN
- Low ISDN usage cost with bandwidth optimization—compression, Bandwidth-on-Demand B-channel aggregation, Dial-on-Demand, and X.25 over D channel
- X.25 over B channel for BTs CARDWAY TPAD Services
