The Meridian Communications Adapter (MCA) allows computers and other devices to communicate easily through the telephone network. By adding this cartridge to Meridian Digital Telephones, personal computers, ASCII terminals, video equipment and group IV fax machines can communicate via the built-in RS-232 or v.35 interface. This uses the standard telephone wiring already in place and eliminates the need for dedicated data facilities.
With the MCA, Asynchronous data connections up to 19.2 kbps and Synchronous data up to 64 kbps allow you to transmit files, data, video and images quickly. Connections can be made instantaneously, without having to memorize complex logon procedures. The MCA makes it easy and inexpensive to install, move and expand data communications services as your business grows.
