BellSouth® Basic Rate ISDN (BRI) service allows a single telephone line to carry voice, video, and data simultaneously to give you more efficient and affordable service.
BRI has:
- Two B channels to carry voice, video, or data
- Each B channel contains speeds as high as 64 Kbps
- B channels can be combined to offer up to 128 Kbps for applications that require more bandwidth
- A third channel (the D channel) to carry the call set-up information and low-speed packet data
