| The BellSouth Internship Program | ||
The BellSouth Internship program is intended for students who want to maximize their learning potential by applying classroom fundamentals into everyday business practices. Interns can work during the summer or other semesters but generally only work with BellSouth for one semester. During the internship students will work within the organization gaining supervised practical experience from senior managers across the company's diverse areas of business. These educational activities will provide students with excellent networking opportunities, as well as exposure to many exciting components of BellSouth. The ability to demonstrate skills in real world business situations with a major leader in global communications, swings the door wide open for future employment, giving students the kind of hands-on education they can't get in the classroom.

| What will the Intern be doing? | ||
Similar to the full-time employment experience at BellSouth, Interns devote their time to the activities and assignments designed by the sponsoring businesses. A work plan will be put in place that will define the terms of the internship, identify a mentor, establish assignment expectations, identify issues and establish effective communication methods.
| Where will the Intern be working? | ||
BellSouth has work locations throughout our nine southeastern states. Placement depends upon the availability of the position for which the student is qualified and his/her availability to relocate.
| What about compensation? | ||
We offer competitive Intern salaries based on the students degree type and the class standing (sophomore, junior, senior, 1st year graduate and 2nd year graduate).
| How do I apply? | ||
Search our database of current openings and create your profile online. All applicants must use BellSouth's online system and create a profile in order to be considered as a candidate for any vacancy. The database changes often as new postings are added throughout each semester.

Permanent employment is based on job availability and past academic performance. While a permanent job cannot be guaranteed, the experience gained as a BellSouth Intern will greatly enhance your ability to become a part of our workforce.
