My FastAccess® DSL connection does not work.
1. Check to see if you have a dial tone on your phone.
If you…
Then....

Have a dial tone

Go to step 2

Do NOT have a dial tone

Go to I have no dial tone for instructions

2. Check the modem status icon on your desktop task bar.
3. Select your device from the choices listed below, and check all connections.

Note: If you do not see your device, please select Other.

Other
Make sure that the telephone line connected to your DSL modem is plugged directly into the telephone jack or into the side of the filter labeled ADSL HPN. Go to step 4.
4. Ensure that the filters are installed on all phone jacks with phone devices.
5. Ensure that your DSL modem is NOT plugged into a surge protector.
6. Shut down your computer:
  • From the Start menu, select Shut Down
  • From the drop-down list, select Shut down
  • Click OK
7. Remove the phone line from modem.
8. Wait two minutes.
9. Plug the phone line back into the modem, and power up the computer.
10. Open your Web browser, and try to connect to the Internet.
11. If the connection fails, call FastAccess® Technical Support at 1.888.321.2375.
Additional Information
If you have completed all these steps, and you are still having problems, these are some possible causes:
  • No service to the telephone line
  • Filters not installed
  • Faulty connections
