two rookies on the 2000 Senior PGA TOUR, have committed
to play in the BellSouth Senior Classic at Opryland
being held May 28 - June 4, 2000.
Wadkins,

only 17 players ever to win the U.S. Open twice. He
will receive one of four sponsor exemptions from the
BellSouth Senior Classic at Opryland.
"We
are excited to have Lanny Wadkins and Andy North,
two top rookies, lead the playing field for the seventh
annual BellSouth Senior Classic at Opryland," said
Jere Drummond, tournament vice chairman and vice chairman,
BellSouth Corporation. "Each year the BellSouth Senior
Classic continues to attract top contenders and we
look forward to seeing additional players - rookies
and veterans alike - commit to play in this year's
tournament."
The
BellSouth Senior Classic at Opryland, with a $1.5
million purse and live ABC television coverage of
its two final rounds, is considered a premiere stop
on the Senior PGA TOUR.
In
it's first six years, the BellSouth Senior Classic
at Opryland has raised more than $1 million for Tennessee
