NASHVILLE CELEBRITIES TEE IT UP FOR THE CELEBRITY KIDS CLASSIC HOSTED BY TRACE ADKINS

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - April 23, 2002 - Capitol recording artist Trace Adkins will host the BellSouth Senior Classic at Gaylord Opryland's annual Celebrity Kids Classic for the third year. The event, which takes place at Springhouse Golf Club on Sunday, June 9, brings Nashville celebrities together to raise money for the charities of the BellSouth Senior Classic at Gaylord Opryland and is the kick-off event for tournament week.

The 2002 charities for the BellSouth Senior Classic include Vanderbilt Children's Hospital, Middle Tennessee Council Boy Scouts of America, Girl Scout Council of Cumberland Valley, Boys & Girls Clubs of Middle Tennessee, Family & Chldren's Service and Tennessee Lions Charities.

"The Celebrity Kids Classic has become an event that I really look forward to being a part of each year," said Adkins. "This is my third year to be involved and it never ceases to amaze me at the support we continue to receive from so many of my friends in the business. This is such a great way to get together, have some fun and all the while do something good for our children here in Tennessee."

The BellSouth Senior Classic at Gaylord Opryland, held June 9-16, is a premiere stop on the SENIOR PGA TOUR. The 9th annual tournament will be broadcast nationwide on CNBC and PAX networks. Since inception, the BellSouth Senior Classic at Gaylord Opryland has donated over $1.6 million to Tennessee charities.
